Questions

Common questions

Is this an insurer quotation?

No. It is an independent estimate. Only the insurer or authorised intermediary can issue a binding quotation.

What is the difference between Type 1, Type 2+ and Type 3+?

Type 1 generally includes own damage, fire, theft and third-party cover. Type 2+ commonly covers collision with an identified vehicle plus fire, theft and third-party liability. Type 3+ usually covers identified-vehicle collision and third-party liability but not fire or theft. Exact wording varies by policy.

Is compulsory insurance included?

No. Thailand’s compulsory motor insurance is separate from the voluntary classes estimated here.
