Crop Fertilizer Cost Calculator
The Crop Fertilizer Cost Calculator estimates a quantity and estimation estimate for your scenario from the quantities, rates, period, units and other assumptions requested on the page. Replace the example values with your own fertilizer figures and recalculate after changing an assumption. Use it to compare scenarios, then verify any current rate or fee before acting.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has published a guideline for the calculation of fertilizer requirements and costs for agriculture.

Fertilizer Application Guide for Thai Farmers.
Chemical fertilizers are an important factor in increasing agricultural yields. Using fertilizers in the right amounts reduces costs, increases yields and maintains soil quality in the long term. This fertilizer cost calculator allows farmers to quickly estimate the amount and cost of fertilizers.
What is the main nutrient NPK?
Chemical fertilizer consists of the main nutrients 3 types necessary for the growth of plants:
- & Nitrogen - Helps the growth of stems and leaves, makes the leaves green.
- & Phosphorus - Helps develop roots, flowering, seeds.
- Potassium - Increase disease resistance, stem strength and yield quality.
Fertilizer formulas recommended for each plant.

Effect of soil type on fertilization
Each type of soil has a different ability to store nutrients, which affects the amount of fertilizer needed:
- The dirt. - The most balanced soil for farming, retaining water and nutrients, fertilising at the normal recommended rate.
- Clay. - Good nutrient retention but poor drainage. Maybe 10-15% less fertilizer than normal.
- Sand. — Good drainage but low nutrient retention. More fertilizer than normal 20-30% and should be applied several times.
Tips for efficient fertilization.
- Soil analysis before fertilization every season to identify nutrient deficiencies.
- Put fertilizer when the soil is moist, not when it rains heavily, because the fertilizer will be washed away.
- Spread the fertilizer 2-3 once per season, rather than putting a lot of it in one go.
- Use organic fertilizers along with chemical fertilizers to maintain the soil in the long term.
- Store the fertilizer in a dry place away from sun and rain. Close the bag tightly.
This fertilizer cost calculator helps Thai farmers plan fertilizer costs in advance, reduce excess fertilizer use and increase productivity. CalculatorpercentTo calculate the additional nutrient ratio.

How to use the Crop Fertilizer Cost Calculator
Use this page to test a specific fertilizer scenario. Enter your own values in the calculator above, review the units beside each field, and recalculate after changing an assumption. The result updates the crop fertilizer cost estimate instead of relying on a generic example.
- Build a baseline fertilizer case with figures that match your situation.
- Run a second fertilizer case after changing the rate, period, quantity or other key assumption.
- Record the difference between the two fertilizer results and the input responsible for it.
Inputs for the fertilizer estimate
For this fertilizer calculation, check the quantities, rates, period, units and other assumptions requested on the page. The result is designed to show a quantity and estimation estimate for your scenario, not a guaranteed provider price or official decision.
How the fertilizer result is calculated
The calculator multiplies the entered quantities by the relevant usage, price or frequency assumptions shown on the page. Reusing the same fertilizer inputs will produce the same estimate, which makes the page suitable for controlled scenario comparisons.
Checks for a fertilizer decision
Confirm any current rate, threshold or provider rule that could change the final amount. For fertilizer, Check that the input and output units match the figures you intend to compare. Rounding and source precision can affect the final displayed value. Recheck the entered values and units if the result looks unexpected.
