Hospital Cash Plan?
The premium depends on the maximum number of days covered and the amount of compensation per day. Generally, the premium is 1,500-5,000 baht/year for compensation 500-1,000 baht/day.
How is the compensation calculated under the employment law?
Working 120 days-1 years: 30 days | 1-3 years: 90 days | 3-6 years: 180 days | 6-10 years: 240 days | 10-20 years: 300 days | 20 years up: 400 days (last modified year 2019) calculated from the last rate of pay
Does a closure pay a special allowance?
Yes, in case of employer relocation, employees receive special compensation in addition to the regular compensation 50%. In case of termination without notice 30-60 days, employees receive compensation instead of notice.
Taxable compensation?
The compensation is tax exempt for the portion not exceeding 300 last day and must be calculated according to the service period. The excess must be included in the calculation of tax deductible expenses 50% but not exceeding 100,000 baht
What if the employer doesn't pay compensation?
File a complaint with the local Labour Welfare and Protection Office or file a lawsuit in the Labour Court. The lawsuit is time-barred for 2 years from the date of dismissal.
