Formula used for calculation

Land tax = land value × tax rate

The tax rate depends on the type of land: farm land (agricultural) 0.02% / garden land 0.04% / vacant land (not used) 0.1% / residential land 0.02%

Calculation example

Example 1: Residential land, value 1,000,000 baht.

  • Land value = 1,000,000 baht
  • Tax rate = 0.02%
  • land tax = 1,000,000 × 0.02% = 200 baht/year

Example 2: Vacant land (unused) worth 500,000 baht.

  • Land value = 500,000 baht
  • Tax rate = 0.1%
  • land tax = 500,000 × 0.1% = 500 baht/year
