OT Calculator
The OT Calculator estimates a payroll and employment estimate for your scenario from the quantities, rates, period, units and other assumptions requested on the page. Replace the example values with your own ot figures and recalculate after changing an assumption. Treat it as a planning estimate and independently verify the current rule or provider terms.
Fill in the salary, the days worked per month, the hours worked per day, and the overtime hours for each category. The system will calculate the hourly wage and summarize the total OT, clearly separated by multipliers.
Quick answer.
What's the OTT based on?
The question people ask before calculating the OTT.
- O. T. 1.5 times. What do you think of the salary?
- O. T. holidays 2 equals 3 equals when is the difference?
- Salary is OT, and how much net after social security?
Do it after you know the OTT.
Include OT into net payroll and check tax or social security on the same page.

There are examples of calculating 1.5 times 2 times 3 times and how to check pay slips.
The formula used by this tool
- Hourly wage = wages ÷ (work days per month × working hours per day)
- OT normal day = hourly wage × 1.5 × OT normal day hour
- Holiday work = Hourly wage × 2 × Holiday working hours
- OT holidays = hourly wage × 3 × OT holiday hours
- Total OT = the sum of all 3 types
example
Salary 35,000 baht, Working day 26 day/month, Working hours 8 hour/day, OT ordinary day 12 hour, Working holiday 8 hour, OT holiday 4 hour
- Hourly wage = 35,000 ÷ (26 × 8) = 168.27 baht
- OT ordinary day = 168.27 × 1.5 × 12 = 3,028.86 baht
- Working holidays = 168.27 × 2 × 8 = 2,692.32 baht
- OT Holiday = 168.27 × 3 × 4 = 2,019.24 baht
- Total OT = 7,740.42 baht

Formula used to calculate the OT value
OTC = Hourly rate x Hours of OTC x Multiplier
Hourly rate = salary ÷ 208 (8 hours × 26 days)
The OTT multiplier (according to Thai labour law):
- OTD normal working day = × 1.5 times (first hour) → × 2 times (next hour)
- OTT weekly holidays = × 2 times
- OTT holidays = × 3 times
- OTT Special Holiday/Special Need = × 4 times (conditional)
Example of OTT calculation
Example 1: Salary 30,000 baht OTC 10 Hours (Regular Day)
- Hourly rate = 30,000 ÷ 208 = 144.23 baht
- First hour × 1.5 = 216.35 baht
- 9 Next hour × 2 = 144.23 × 2 × 9 = 2,595.96 baht
- Total OT = 2,812.31 baht
Example 2: Salary 40,000 baht OT 8 Hours (weekly holidays)
- Hourly rate = 40,000 ÷ 208 = 192.31 baht
- OT 8 hours x 2 = 192.31 x 2 x 8.
- Total OT = 3,076.92 baht
Example 3: Salary 25,000 baht OT 4 Hours (Traditional Holidays)
- Hourly rate = 25,000 ÷ 208 = 120.19 baht
- 4 hours of OT x 3 = 120.19 x 3 x 4.
- Total OT = 1,442.29 baht
How to calculate the OT value
- Check your paycheck and job description.
- Calculate hourly rate: Salary ÷ 208
- Counts OTT hours from timesheet or job record
- Select day type: Regular / Holiday / Traditional
- Calculate the law's multiplier.
- Check with the actual O. T. received on the pay slip.

General error in calculating the OT value
When calculating the OTT under the Labour Code:
- Use the basic rate instead of the actual wage.
Employee salary 15,000 baht Doing OTC 4 hours Pay = Total salary ÷ 22 days ÷ 8 hours = baht/hour and multiply by OTC rate (1.5x, 2x, 3x) - No value, "support" if you're overtime.
Doing 4 hours of OT after work may have a fee, check the employee/company orders, like 20 baht fee. - I don't know if the labor laws set different rates for overtime.
General OT = 1.5x, weekly rest = 2x, public holidays = 3x Read "The Employment of Labour Act 1998" Section 23 - The OTT hours are wrong.
Working 7:00-18:00 Normally 7:00-17:00 ≠ 1 OTC hours counted from the minutes of completion of normal working hours + day break - No equipment deductions, no social security deductions.
OTC charge 2,000 baht must be deducted: Social Security contribution 5% + Tax (if exceeding 5,000) + Equipment charge Net OTC charge = Total - Deduct all

How to use the OT Calculator
Use this page to test a specific ot scenario. Enter your own values in the calculator above, review the units beside each field, and recalculate after changing an assumption. The result updates the ot estimate instead of relying on a generic example.
- Build a baseline ot case with figures that match your situation.
- Run a second ot case after changing the rate, period, quantity or other key assumption.
- Record the difference between the two ot results and the input responsible for it.
Inputs for the ot estimate
For this ot calculation, check the quantities, rates, period, units and other assumptions requested on the page. The result is designed to show a payroll and employment estimate for your scenario, not a guaranteed provider price or official decision.
How the ot result is calculated
The calculator applies the displayed pay period, rate, deduction and statutory assumptions to the employment figures entered. Reusing the same ot inputs will produce the same estimate, which makes the page suitable for controlled scenario comparisons.
Checks for a ot decision
Confirm any current rate, threshold or provider rule that could change the final amount. For ot, Use the result to reconcile a payslip or plan take-home pay. Employer payroll rules, benefits, withholding and statutory contributions can change the final amount. Because this calculation can affect an important financial, legal or health decision, independently verify the inputs and current rules before relying on the result.
